Supporting Portland families one visit at a time
Our Story
Early Days Collective was founded to address a simple truth: the early days with a newborn can be both magical and overwhelming. In Portland's changing neighborhoods, many families lack the extended family support networks that previous generations relied on.
Drawing inspiration from successful programs like Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley, we're building a community-based support network that bridges generations and strengthens connections right here in Portland, beginning in Southwest Portland.
Our Mission
Early Days Collective connects families welcoming newborns to compassionate community volunteers through hands-on support, education, and community building while creating meaningful intergenerational relationships that benefit both families and volunteers.
Our Vision
We envision a Portland where:
No parent feels isolated during the postpartum period
Older adults maintain purposeful community connections
Intergenerational relationships strengthen our neighborhoods
Every family has the support they need to thrive during the critical early months with a newborn
