Who Can Volunteer
We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to supporting families. Our volunteers include:
Empty nesters with more time to share
Older adults seeking meaningful community connection
Birth professionals gaining experience or giving back
Community members who value supporting families
What Volunteers Do
Visit a matched family weekly for approximately 2-3 hours
Provide practical assistance with household tasks such as folding laundry, food prep, light cleaning
Offer baby care support so parents can rest
Be a listening ear and supportive presence
Connect families with community resources
Share wisdom and experience in a non-judgmental way
Volunteer Requirements
21 years of age or older
Ability to commit to approximately 3 months of regular visits
Successful completion of background check
Attendance at a 4-hour training session
Compassion, reliability, and good boundaries
Interest in supporting diverse families
